International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear alumni, friends and supporters of the Academy of Economics,

On the 8th of November 2026, D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov celebrates its 90th anniversary. Its glorious development began with the donation by the prominent Bulgarian Revival figure Dimitar A. Tsenov, who, with the words: “By offering my modest contribution to the altar of the nation, I conclude with the wish that the Bulgarian people may advance continuously along the path of cultural progress toward the achievement of their ideal,” bequeathed to his hometown not only his wealth, but also his dream.
 

To commemorate the anniversary, the Academy’s Management has adopted an Event Calendar featuring numerous and diverse events, initiatives, and activities aimed at attracting public attention both to the Academy’s dignified past and to its contribution to the development of the contemporary educational and scientific environment while maintaining a strong connection with practice. Through these initiatives, we create a sense of engagement and belonging to the academic community among students, alumni, faculty, and staff, as well as among the broader public at local, regional, national, and international level.
 

An important item of the event calendar of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov is the organization and hosting of an international scientific and practical conference entitled “90 YEARS OF PHILANTHROPY, KNOWLEDGE, INNOVATION, AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AT D. A. TSENOV ACADEMY OF ECONOMICS IN SVISHTOV”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the higher school.
 

To mark the anniversary, a fundraising campaign titled “I Am Part of the Academy of Economics” has been launched to provide financial support for the planned events. We appeal to all who value and care for the Academy of Economics to SUPPORT IT AS DONORS and CONTRIBUTE TO ITS CONTINUED PRESTIGE! Your engagement and willingness to undertake such a generous act are not only a testament to intellectual and moral generosity, but also a token of deep gratitude to the pioneers who envisioned the future and devoted all their human and creative energy, their talent and resources, to the advancement and flourishing of Bulgarian education and culture.
