The D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics is a specialised public university that performs its scientific research activities in Social sciences area. The Academy pursues its science policy in a compliance with the national and international research trends and standards for research activities implementation, commercialisation of results and spreading good practices.

             Academy's scientific research potential is focused on conducting structural and sectoral analysis, specialised economic research, marketing research, innovation implementation, technology transfer, project management, risk assessment and risk management. The outcomes of Bulgarian and European economy's strategic analyses; European and cross-border cooperation and regional development; social and insurance policies; sustainable development and entrepreneurship bring a significant value to science development.

            In partnership with European universities representatives, the research staff of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics actively participates in organisation, promotion and running national and international scientific forums. Our Professors, Assoc. professors, Assist. professors, Doctoral students, Postdocs and students also take part in international and interdisciplinary research teams and scientific networks. Spreading research outcomes within the Academy is carried out through the referred scientific journals published by The D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics:  “Economic archive” journal, "Business Management" journal, "Economics 21" journal, „Dialog" journal and Scientific Research Almanac.

            In terms of increasing the international research activity and cooperation and gaining valuable academic experience, the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics implements projects under the Ministry of Education funding programmes, EU funding programmes, including the Erasmus programme; under the European Regional Development Fund - The Interreg V-A Romania - Bulgaria Programme and under the Science and education for smart growth operational programme 2014-2020.
