On May 13, 2023, the educational base of the Dimitar Tsenov Academy of Economics - Svishtov in the village of Oreshak gathered for the twenty-seventh consecutive year students and teachers from three universities at a scientific conference dedicated to the problems and dimensions of global business processes. The main organizer and host of the event is the Department of International Economic Relations at the Academy of Economics - Svishtov, and the partners and active participants in holding the forum are the Department of International Economic Relations at the University of Economics - Varna and the Department of Economics and International relations at Angel Kanchev University of Ruse.
The beginning of the event on Saturday morning was given by Assoc. Prof. Zdravko Lyubenov, head of the Svishtov’s IER department. Briefly recalling the history of the event, Mr. Lyubenov called on the participants to observe a moment of silence in honor of our friend and colleague, Head Assist. Simeon Momchev (Moni) - founder and main organizer of the conference over the years, whom we lost in 2022.
Assoc. Prof. Georgi Marinov, head of the Department of IER at the University of Economics - Varna, expressed gratitude on behalf of the department for the good organization of the event and wished the students a successful presentation

The participants – bachelor's, master's and doctoral students – presented their works in four thematic areas related to international investment, global business, international integration and trade and people management. For the fourth year, the forum could also be followed and participated in online via a virtual audience on the Tsenov Academy's preferred platform BigBlueButton.

The reports touched on diverse topics such as challenges and countermeasures to China-Bulgaria agricultural investment cooperation, promoting sustainable consumer choice, Bitcoin trading and crypto exchanges, tax aspects of international online trading, the integration of Roma communities in Europe, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on unemployment in Bulgaria and Romania, etc.

The authors of the presented reports received certificates of participation, and the approved scientific papers will be published in an electronic collection of reports included in the National Reference List (NRC) of modern Bulgarian scientific journals with scientific review. The collection is available in electronic format on dlib.uni-svishtov.bg and on the conference page mioconference.eu.
The event is part of the scientific calendar of the Department of International Economic Relations at Dimitar Tsenov Academy of Economics for 2023.
