Round table on teaching subjects with foreign economic orientation


The Department of International Economic Relations, together with partners from the related departments at the University of Economics - Varna and Angel Kanchev University of Ruse and on the basis of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between them organized a Round Table on “Increasing pragmatism and transfer of know-how on teaching subjects with foreign economic orientation”.
The event was held from 25 to 27 June 2021 in the Training base of the Tsenov Academy of Economics in the village of Oreshak. It was attended by eight teachers from the Academy in Svishtov, five scholars from the University in Varna, one from the University of Ruse and four representatives of practice (members of the Alumni Club MIO).
 
 
The talks included current topics concerning the possibilities for strengthening the interaction between teachers and business representatives with foreign economic orientation in the process of educating students in the context of a global pandemic. Issues concerning the transfer of know-how between school representatives were discussed. The need to deepen the practical orientation of higher economic education, its better connection with the needs of business and new technologies, better compliance with the requirements and dynamics of changes in European and global markets was confirmed.

The events are part of the scientific calendar of the Department of International Economic Relations for year 2021.
