International Conference-EMSTEP
Within the framework of the EMstep project (2023-2-TR01-KA220-SCH-000170568 ‘Empowering Middle School Teachers for Social Inclusion through Observation-based Professional Development’), funded by the Erasmus+ program, the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics is pleased to invite all interested parties to participate in the International Conference ‘Social Inclusion in Education through Digital Transformation’. The event will be held in a hybrid format (presently at Ege University in Izmir, Türkiye, and online) on 01.07.2026.
CONFERENCE FOCUS
The conference aims to explore how technological innovations and digital tools can promote social inclusion in education. Participants will discuss both the transformative potential and challenges of integrating digital methodologies into teaching and learning environments to ensure equitable and inclusive educational experiences for all learners.

MAIN THEMATIC AREAS
1. Social Inclusion and Digital Transformation: The role of technology in promoting equal access and participation in education.
2. Inclusive Learning: Strategies for engaging diverse learners through technology-enhanced instruction.
3. Pedagogy and Technology Integration: Inclusive teaching practices supported by digital tools.
4. Knowledge Management for Inclusion: Using knowledge to foster equitable learning opportunities.
5. Social Equity and Access to Education: Overcoming barriers to participation.
6. Social inclusive Leadership: Leadership supporting inclusion and diversity in education.
DETAILS
- Participation in the conference is free (no fee for all participants).
- Language of the conference (and materials): English.
- We invite researchers, educators, and policymakers to submit abstracts (max. 300 words) presenting research-in-progress, completed studies, or audio-visual presentations that address social inclusion and equality in digital learning contexts.
- Submissions must be made through the ‘New Submission’ section of the conference website. Only submissions made via the website will be considered.

Accepted papers will be considered for open-access publication under the EMSTEP Project (2026) and later compiled into a collective academic volume. No registration fees are required for participation.
