Fruitful participation of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in a panel on Sino-Bulgarian Erasmus+ under pandemic


On 26th of October 2021, Assoc. Prof. Marusya Smokova, PhD – Director of the Centre for International Affairs and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics took part in a panel on the Erasmus+ programme. The event was initiated and perfectly organised by the international officers of Shaighai Lixin Universty of Accounting and Finance (SLU). The panel was targeted towards the SLU's staff involved in iternational activities. The event was opened by Ms Chen Jie – Vice-president of Shaighai Lixin Universty of Accounting and Finance. In her opening speech, she highlighted the importance of taking part in the Erasmus+ programme for the internationalisation of Shaighai Lixin Universty of Accounting and Finance. 
Assoc. Prof. Smokova has spoken as a key speaker on the topic Sino-Bulgarian Erasmus+ under pandemic. She has presented some of the milestones in the history of the Erasmus+ programme, as well as the penetration of the Programme in Bulgaria and China. Part of her presentation was related with sharing of experience and information about the successfully completed and all other promising Erasmus+ projects D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics has been currently implementing. 
The main focus of her presentation was put on the specific features of the Programme in the new programme period 2021-2027 (digitalisation, inclusiveness, and sustainability). Assoc. Prof. Smokova has finished her presentation by sharing her vision for strenthening the cooperation between D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance and proposing some options for future collaboration between both universities. 



Shaighai Lixin Universty of Accounting and Finance has been collaborating under the Erasmus+ programme with the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics since 2018. Their joint project 2018-1-BG01-KA107-047260 for higher education student and staff mobility between Programme and Partner countries was awarded a certificate for excellent implementation of an Erasmus+ project during the Annual Online Valorisation Conference 2020 of the Bulgarian National Erasmus+ Agency, which was held on the 18th of December 2020.
