Auditorium of the Future: Raphael Röttinger, PhD, Renovates Iconic Auditorium on the Eve of the Academy’s 90th Anniversary

On the eve of its 90th anniversary, the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics - Svishtov begins a large-scale modernization of Auditorium No. 306, which serves as a specialized center for Public Administration. The project is made possible thanks to the second consecutive donation by Raphael Röttinger, PhD, an international security expert, businessman, and graduate of the Academy who defended his doctoral thesis in Public Administration in the Department of Strategic Planning.
This donation is a personal mission for Dr. Röttinger, who reaffirms his commitment to his Alma Mater. “I believe that education needs not only intellect, but also an environment that inspires. With this donation, I want to give future doctoral candidates and students better, high-tech facilities. Auditorium 306 will be the place where strategic thought meets modern technologies, transforming theory into real solutions for the future,” said Dr. Röttinger in his address to the academic community.
The Rector of the Academy of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Marin Marinov, PhD, expressed sincere gratitude for the donation: “We are honored to have like-minded people like Dr. Röttinger. His consistent support is proof of the strong connection between the university and its graduates and proven experts. This project is an investment in the intellectual capital of Bulgaria and a great gift for the 90th anniversary of the Academy.”
With the support of the Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov Foundation, the hall will be transformed into a modern center for scientific and educational activities. The project includes a complete interior redesign, ergonomic furnishings, and high-end specialized technical equipment.
The project is scheduled to be finalized by November 8, 2026.
