The project No. 2016-1-BG01-KA107-023251 is funded by Erasmus+ programme, KA 107 of the European Union. The beneficiary of the projects is the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov (Bulgaria). The mobility project consists of 7 incoming and outgoing student and staff mobility flows, incl. 2 incoming flows of student mobility for studies, 1 outgoing flow of staff mobility for teaching and 4 incoming flows of staff mobility for training (incl. 1 staff mobility for training with zero-grant). In geographical point of view, the mobility flows have been organised between 2 higher education institutions from 2 countries (Bulgaria and Israel). The project activities have been carried out by two higher education institutions:

  • D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov (Bulgaria);
  • Sapir Academic college – Sderot (Israel);

In student mobility activities, students from first study cycle have taken part. Their gender distribution is as follows: 2 females and 0 males. In staff mobility activities, 5 females have taken part, incl. 2 mobility flows of teaching staff and 3 mobility flows of training staff.

 

The basic objectives of the project are to: improve the knowledge about the Erasmus+ programme; make the programme more popular within the academic society and promote European values within them; enhance the international dimension of higher education through cooperation with HEI from Partner countries with the aim to take part in future multi-partner projects and build up educational and scientific networks; support career development of students and staff; develop a new, mobile, demanding and open-minded academic society with European values and transferrable skills. As a result of the mobilities the following spin-off effects are reported: reinforcement of the cooperation and building up professional networks; increased interest in exchange and attraction of foreign and local students and staff for incoming and outgoing mobility between Bulgaria and Israel; discussion on the potential for joint participation in Horizon2020, Erasmus+, KA 203 projects and Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions; improving partner's knowledge about scientific journals of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics; initiatives for joint international research and preparation of joint article; improving partner's knowledge about Doctoral programmes offered by the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics; preparation of joint online course that will be delivered to students from Sapir Academic College.
