Erasmus+, Key Action 171 is EU programme for incoming and outgoing mobility of students and academic and non-academic staff between Programme and Partner countries.

Programme countries are the EU members plus Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and Serbia.

Partner countries are non-EU countries who are eligible according to the Erasmus+ programme guide (excluding Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and Serbia).

If you are an academic/non-academic staff from one of our partner universities from Programme countries (list of partner universities you can find here) you should contact your International Office or Erasmus+ office (if any) and to apply for Erasmus+ mobility there.

If you are an academic/non-academic staff from one of our partner universities from Partner countries (list of partner universities you can find here) you should contact your International or Erasmus+ office (if any) and check if there are available positions for mobility at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. The number of available positions is limited and different every year.

If you are academic staff member you may take part in teaching or training mobility. If you are non-teaching staff member you may take part only in training mobility.

Teaching mobility concerns delivering lectures, conducting workshops, seminars, etc. at a partner higher education institution abroad.

Training mobility concerns participation in training events abroad (excluding conferences), job shadowing, observation periods and/or training at a partner University.

You may contact your International office or Erasmus+ office (if any) in order to be informed if there will be selection for Erasmus+ mobility for academic/non-academic staff. Every university may have different requirements and selection criteria.

After your selection at your university, please complete our application form and mobility agreement. You may find the necessary documents on our website.

The application form includes your contact details, your preferences regarding accommodation, professional status, expected dates of arrival and departure, etc. Please complete the application form and attach all necessary documents referred inside.

The mobility agreement has a standard from and it includes information about your mobility period, sending and hosting institutions, content of teaching/training mobility programme at D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. We have prepared for you a short guide for completing the mobility agreement form. Please contact us via email: erasmus@uni-svishtov.bg

N.B. Bear in mind that your mobility agreement should be prepared and signed (by you, our Erasmus+ Institutional coordinator, and your responsible person) BEFORE the mobility period.

The grant is the overall sum given as a contribution to participant’s costs for subsistence during the period abroad.

Selected teaching/non-teaching staff from Partner countries will receive travel grant which has to cover their travel expenses. The amount is fixed according to the travel distance between the home and host university, as well as the type of the transport means. For more details, please refer to erasmus@uni-svishtov.bg.

N.B. Please note that the amount is fixed and if your ticket is cheaper or more expensive, you won’t have to return money or receive more funding.

The individual support for staff from Partner countries coming to Bulgaria is 140 EUR per day.

Upon arrival you will sign a financial agreement with D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and you will receive your travel and individual grant for the entire mobility period.

In case you don’t meet the minimum requirement for 5-day duration of the mobility and 8 hours lecturing, you should return the received grants (excluding force majeure circumstances).

Yes, we do. We offer for our international incoming teaching/non-teaching staff rooms in our academic “Sever Training center hotel.

(For all non-EU academic/non-academic staff) We will prepare for you an acceptance letter and an invitation letter to the Bulgarian Embassy abroad. Please send us a valid passport in advance. You may find information in our ECTS Information Package.

You should keep all your travel documents from the country of your university to Svishtov and vise versa – tickets (if you travel by bus or train), boarding passes (if you travel by plane), fuel invoices/receipts, vignettes, toll fees, etc. (if you travel by car). It is a mandatory requirement for paying the travel grant.

Please report your type of fewer opportunities in the Online application form for staff mobility and submit all necessary document to prove your status. If you a person with special need, please complete the Application form for additional financial support under Erasmus+ programme for students and staff with special needs from HEIs.

Yes, you may. Staff in particular physical, mental and health-related conditions may receive inclusion support which cover up to 100% of the real cost.
