If applicant’s diploma for higher education (in case the non-EU applicant uses it as a proof for their eligibility to pursue their studies at higher education institutes in the country where the secondary education was obtained) is issued in a country-party to the Lisbon Recognition Convention, it does not need legalisation and certification with APOSTILLE stamp. Diploma should be translated into Bulgarian language by ‘sworn translator’. In case the translation is made in Bulgaria, it is necessary to notary certify the translator’s signature.
