Academic Computer Center
The Academic Computer Center provides for the designing, development, introduction and effective utilization of informational technology and resource in students' training, in scientific and training activities of the academic staff, as well as, in administrative and informational systems and public-oriented informational resources of the higher educational establishment. The academic Intranet includes more than 500 PCs of the third and fourth generation. Fifteen servers on three network platforms provide communication links for the corporate administrative network, the training labs network, and the general-purpose network for enhancing the scientific and training activities of the academic staff. onts. The computer rooms for training purposes have over 140 workstations in 7 general purpose labs, over 70 workstations in the specialized labs and over 60 workstations in the Undergraduate College of Economics and Management and the branch in the town of Lovech. There is a full-time high-speed access to Internet available. The Academy of Economics provides for free access for all users of uni-svishtov.bg domain for the Bulgarian administrative and legal database "Norma-lnternet" and access to one of the largest electronic databases for American periodicals EBSCO Publishing. |
