"D. A. Tsenov" Academy of Economics implements Doctorate educational programmes and awards the educa­tional and scientific degree of "Doctor" in 15 accredited scientific specialties observing the requirements of the Higher Education Act, the State Requirements Regulation for admission and training of Ph.D. students and the Statute of Ph.D. students in the higher school. Over 100 Ph.D. students, including foreign students, are trained full-time, part-time or are self-trained. The broadening of the geographic bound­aries of education in the third level of higher education, the quality of the knowledge the Ph.D. students get, the high level of the dissertations worked out and successfully defended under the guidance of recognized academic lecturers are among the main priorities of the higher school.
